Like in other delivery areas this month, in the AEP Central Delivery Area, the Fixed rate category has welcomed a new player: RANCHERO POWER. The highest rate increased by 8% and the average rate increased slightly (1%). The variable rate category increased slightly in price (6% for the average rate and 1% for the lowest rate).

The 100% green plans category is globally stable regarding prices. Looking at the fixed rate category, the average rate increased by 1% while the other trends are stable. Regarding the variable rate category, only the lowest rate category increased by 2%. Also in this delivery area, we captured that IBERDROLA TEXAS has not showed offers at all in this first category for the month of June.

In this delivery area, the average 100% green plan is 7% more expensive than a regular electricity plan for a 12-month fixed rate product. Financially speaking, it means that you are going to pay only 1$ more per month to go green for your electricity consumption. (For a 1000 kWh usage per month, using the lowest rates from the table above)
If you want to subscribe to a variable rate plan, it is 22% pricier to go 100% green, on average. This represents $16 per month on your bill for a 100% green plan if you picked the lowest rate in the table above. (For a 1000 kWh usage per month.)

FRONTIER UTILITIES and SPARK ENERGY LLC are both showing the same lowest price while AMBIT ENERGY offered the highest price in this category. 88% of those providers changed their prices and we can conclude that the general trend was an increase as only 4 did the opposite and decreased their prices.

SOUTHERN FEDERAL POWER held the lowest price spot while AMBIT ENERGY held the highest price spot for variable plans in June. Most of those REPs, representing 62% of the total number of REPs, changed their price. Only one provider, RELIANT, decreased its price while all the others increased it.

INFUSE ENERGY LLC offered the lowest price in this category and AMBIT ENERGY offered the highest price. Only the latter kept the same price the whole month while the other two increased it.
