Our team at energysavings.com has been capturing daily snapshots of the energy plans offered on the Power to Choose site and has put together the following information regarding the energy plans offered during the month of December 2020 for the TNMP delivery area. Please click here for a map that shows the location of the transmission and distribution utilities in competitive areas. Please note that as rates may change at any time in the day on the Power to Choose site, the following analysis is only based on information cap.
Market trend: During December 2020, the market was again stable for this area as did not observe rate variations during this period for the plans discussed in this report.

Energy Monger is the REP that had the lowest rate. The plan is called “12 Month E-Pay / E-Bill (Web Only).” You will have to enroll to autopay and e-billing to enjoy this low rate.
Ambit Energy had the highest rate for this category with the plan “Lone Star Classic 12.”

The lowest rate of this table was offered by Infuse Energy and Southern Federal Power LLC. The plans are called “Keep It Simple Savings Flex” and “Variable Advantage: Month-to-Month,” respectively. Infuse Energy’s rate requires autopay while Southern Federal Power’s requires autopay and e-billing.
Ambit Energy is offering the highest rate with “Lone Star Flex” plan.

Gexa Energy with the plan named “Gexa Choice Green 12” and Frontier Utilities with “Eco Green 12” are the two REPs that had the lowest rates for December 2020. Those two products have the same early termination fees.
Energy to Go is the REP that showed the highest rate. “Green To Go 12” is the plan name they were offering for this period.

Green Energy Exchange was showing the lowest rate in this table. “Texas Green 24 Autopay.” This REP has 4.7 on Google reviews (70 reviews). As the plan’s name infers, autopay is required for this plan’s rate.
The highest rate was offered by Iberdrola Texas with the plan “Wind by TX 24.”

Ambit Energy was the REP showing the highest rate with their plan called “Ambit Green Texas Flex.”
* Data obtained from powertochoose.org (Power to Choose) for the days from 12/1/2020 to 12/31/2020. The tables above list the lowest price in cents/kWh offered by each retail electricity provider (REP) for a given type of plan for a monthly usage of 2000 kWh. If more than one product was available from the same REP for a given type of plan, EnergySavings.com only included the lowest rate in its analysis.
