APG&E Electricity Plans

APG&E offers both residential and business electricity plans. Its plans include:

Simple Saver

Simple Saver plans are fixed-rate electricity plans best for households with energy usage levels around 1,000 kWh per month. Customers get a usage-based bill credit at that level. Contract lengths available are 8, 12, 15, 24, and 36 months. Early termination fees (ETFs) range from $150 to $350, with longer terms corresponding to higher ETFs.

ETFs for True Simple plans are also between $150 to $350, depending on the term length.

True Classic

True Classic plans are also straightforward, fixed-rate electricity plans with no usage-based bill credits. Plans offered come with terms of 12, 24, and 36 months, and ETFs range from $150 to $350, depending on the contract length. APG&E Reviews

APG&E’s online reviews are primarily positive, though Power to Choose data shows the company has a high complaint ratio. Here’s a sampling of what customers praised about the company and where others felt it fell short.

Positive Experiences:

“I would like to thank Andrea for being patient with me as I had several questions and issues to be addressed. She patiently worked with me to solve every issue, including speaking with a third party on my behalf. She was very kind and friendly, exhibiting a professional demeanor throughout our conversation.”

– Sarita M. Google

“Website was very easy to sign up for new service. The drop-down format found my new address immediately. It only took a few minutes, and I had signed up, chosen my own start of service date, and was done. Hopefully, my experience will continue to be positive!”

– Brandy P. Google

Negative Experiences:

“I'm a 1 month customer, and soon I'll pay the Early Termination Fee. The reasons why I'm contemplating to leave early are the billing department is trying to charge me $30 for a glitch that happened on their part (Thanksgiving week) and looks like their tech department is working with 1990s windows to create their webpage. Another reason is if you call, be prepared to wait a long time. On the positive side the customer representatives are great.”

– Joel H. Google

“I'm extremely disappointed with this company. My power was disconnected even though I am enrolled in AutoPay. They never collected the payment, even though the system shows I’m signed up. After waiting over an hour on customer service, they told me they 'sent a notice by mail.' That is completely unprofessional — what if I'm out of town? Email or text is basic customer communication in 2025. Even their own representative admitted that I'm enrolled in AutoPay, yet they still cut the power. This experience is frustrating, unsafe, and unacceptable. A utility company should be reliable. They need to fix their system and call customers before taking action, especially when it’s their own AutoPay failure. I no longer feel secure with this company.”

– Rony K. Google
