Data collected* are analyzed monthly to give you an understanding of the offers available and the market trends. Grouping the most common plans by category, we analyze the same plan categories every month to give you an apples-to-apples comparison.

In the Oncor delivery area, ELIGO ENERGY TX LLC has joined the game in the 12 month fixed rate category. This provider was offering other kinds of plans before September. The variable rate category was stable regarding the number of players in August and September.
Regarding trends, the first category (fixed rate, 12 month plans) increased: +12% for the highest rate, +3% for the average. Regarding the variable rate category, only a few providers kept their price the same, explaining the following increases: +9% for the lowest rate, +6 % for the highest and 3% for the average.

Concerning the 100% green products in August and September 2021, we captured that similar to the other delivery areas, CHARIOT ENERGY is back on the Power to Choose website (100% green, fixed rate 12 month plans). This provider is offering 100% green plans with different contract lengths. Looking at the 100% green variable rate category, the number of providers is the same.
Looking at trends, we have some increases: The highest rate increased by 14% in the first category of the table while in the second category we captured +6% for the highest and +4% for the average.

71% of these energy providers (22 of 31) changed their prices during the month. Among those that changed their prices, all but one increased it: ELIGO ENERGY TX LLC. EXPRESS ENERGY and THINK ENERGY continued this month again to tie for the lowest price spot while AMBIT ENERGY also continued to hold the highest price spot for this type of plan.

Seven of these REPs changed their prices: 5 of them increased it while the other 2 did the opposite. SOUTHWEST POWER & LIGHT offered the lowest rate while AMBIT ENERGY offered the highest rate.

Eight of those providers changed their prices during the month and they all increased it. GEXA ENERGY offered the lowest price and CHARIOT ENERGY offered the highest one.

As we see often in this category, the only REP who changed its price during the month is INFUSE ENERGY LLC (increase).
